MEDICAL AID AUTHORIZATION
Obtain authorization from your medical aid prior to your hospital admission.
Information required for authorization:
• Specialist's name and practice number
• Hospital's name and practice number
• Date of admission and procedure

Request an authorization letter from your medical aid, which will include:
• Information about maximum benefits,
• Applicable exclusions,
• Co-payment details.
FINANCES
Hospital tariffs are charged according to negotiated medical scheme rates, and co-payments may be applicable according to medical aid rules.
Co-payments must be made before or on the day of admission. Please bring proof of payment on the day of admission. Club Surgical Centre is a cash-free environment. Payment is accepted through EFT or debit/credit cards.
Submission of your account to your medical scheme will done electronically by Club Surgical Centre after your discharge. It remains your responsibility to ensure that the account has been received.
Our Debtors Department will contact you if your medical aid does not pay in full or if the claim is rejected. Some medical aids do not cover the entire cost of your care. Any amount not covered by medical aid is the patient's responsibility.
Private patients must pay the full estimated amount on or before the day of admission. Please note that the estimate is based on the procedure to be performed and assumes average surgical time and complexity. An estimate is not the final account, the account can only be finalized after your procedure.
